About DW Brownlaw

DW Brownlaw is the pen name of Douglas Brown, a retired editor and publisher of technical literature. During a career spanning more than four decades, he learnt to communicate in a great many languages ... though mainly with computers great and small.

His new 'careers' include acting (amateur and pro), ageing minor Youtuber, student of Chen-style Tai Chi, editing short written works for friends, while also writing short stories and novellas for his science fantasy series The Peraverse and publishing them to read for free on his website (dwbrownlaw.net).

In a typically over-ambitious plan, all his story-threads are planned to weave together in a rich Peraverse tapestry, culminating in a trilogy of books tying all these threads (bar one) together.  (And if he ever finds a way to darn-in that errant thread, the trilogy will contain four books!)

DW Brownlaw lives partly in the Peraverse, an imagined parallel universe, in which he flits between planetary systems hoping to chance upon civilised cultures and and record their stories. When back on Earth, he lives with tropical fish and his overly-tolerant wife in the Thames Valley region of the UK.
